Draft. This text is version 2026-09-28-draft. The operating entity, governing law and contact details are being finalised; until then it describes how the service works, not a completed contract.

Terms of Service

1. The agreement

These terms govern a studio's use of Genreline — the studio operating system for film and media production, comprising the studio workspace, the client portal, file storage, messaging, approvals, meetings, contracts and signing, screening links and the AI tools. By opening a studio, the person doing so confirms they are authorised to bind the studio to these terms.

2. Accounts and the studio

A studio is an organisation on the platform with an owner. The owner is responsible for who is invited to the studio and to its client portals, and for keeping the founding address verified. Invited people are bound by these terms through the studio that invited them.

3. Your content

Everything a studio and its clients upload, write, record or sign remains theirs. Genreline stores and transmits it to provide the service and for no other purpose. AI features send only the content a person explicitly submits to a model provider, and only to the provider named at the time.

4. Acceptable use

A studio may not use the platform to store or transmit unlawful material, to infringe another person's rights, to interfere with the service, or to attempt access to another studio's data. Rate limits and abuse controls apply.

5. Records that outlive the agreement

Approval records, signing records and the activity ledger are retained for seven years after the event they record, because they are evidence. Deleting a studio does not shorten that period.

6. Availability and changes

The service is provided as it is. There is no uptime commitment in these terms. Genreline may change the service and these terms; a change to these terms that requires re-acceptance is presented to the studio's owner on their next visit.

7. Termination

A studio may close its account at any time. Genreline may suspend a studio that breaches section 4. On closure, content is retained for the grace period stated in the Privacy Policy and then deleted, subject to section 5.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Genreline's liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees the studio paid in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Governing law

To be completed when the operating entity is named.
